Mighty Monsters from My Mind: Siren

Image
When I was younger, I would come up with all sorts of monsters (thank you, Pokemon and Digimon). I'd draw them up, imagine how they would act, and thought up small snippets of stories surrounding them. I still have them lying around, perhaps one day I'll make a post and show them to you. Anyway, apparently it's a thing I still like to do. If you've read my first book, you've already been introduced to one of my creations: the Titanium Construct. Or TC, because that's a bit of a mouthful. I'll talk about that monster a different time. For now, let me introduce you to a new monster in Stages of Earth: Interlude (the second book I'm currently working on). Behold! The Siren! As described by my husband, it is "wonderfully disturbing". No, I did not draw this. Alhazartfinds on Fiverr did. And boy howdy did it come out great! Now, let me tell you a little about this horrible masterpiece. Its race comes from a gas planet. Cover Reveal! Stages of Earth: Interlude

Hello friends! Here's some happy news from the writing front! Progress on the second book is happily along the way! I've finished the first draft and am crafting the second one. This book is going to be AMAZING and I'm so excited to share it with you! It immediately follows the events of the first book, The End. In it, you'll find out more about Aiden's past, Misha's present, and Abagail's future. They'll have to travel over a thousand miles through difficult terrain and new monsters. (I can't wait for you to meet Vex!!) With a good amount of hard work and a little bit of luck, I'm hoping to release Interlude on June 15, 2020 or July 15, 2020. In the meantime, enjoy the new cover! If you haven't had a chance to check out the first book, click HERE .

You're 1 in 100 billion

To put that into perspective, if every person only lived for one second, one right after the other, it would take 3,171 years  to get to everyone. That's only counting how many have ever lived and currently live. It doesn't take into account the future. So here you are. One second out of three thousand years. Living your life. Eating. Sleeping. Worrying. You pass by other seconds without knowing the full extent of their lives. I'll bet you can't remember most of your own small second of life. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter if you take a few minutes out of your day to read a small article written by another small second. And yet, it does. You are 1 in 100 billion. The choices you are making right now matter. It's a stressful time, and in these difficult times are when we shape ourselves the most. What will you do when there's no milk at the store? How will you reac...
